Caller Joanna Reiner Wilkinson. Joanna has taught English Country Dance for over two decades. In addition to being one of the leaders of the Philadelphia-based Germantown Country Dancers, her calling has taken her from Amherst to Ann Arbor, from NEFFA to Hey Days, from St Croix to Vancouver, as well as many sessions at Pinewoods Camp. Known for her clear calling and instruction, Joanna loves teaching workshops which explore ECD technique, new dances, and how people learn and remember dance choreography. |
Live music by Goldcrest. Goldcrest is Daron Douglas on fiddle; Paul Oorts on accordian, cittern, guitar, and mandolin; and Dave Wiesler on piano and guitar. Daron and Dave have composed many tunes, including some in the Goldcrest Collection.

Workshop descriptions
- 10:30: The Art of Dancing Well
- What does it mean to dance English country dance "well"? In this
workshop, we'll look specifically at the technique of English country dancing
and consider the notion that how you move, how you hold your body, how well
you transition between figures, change roles, and recover from mistakes
directly affect and hopefully increase your enjoyment of the dance.
- 2:30: Celebrating Daron!
- Daron Douglas has given us the gift of her glorious English dance playing for decades. As Daron transitions to the next phase of her musical career, let's celebrate her work by dancing to some of her favourite tunes.
